Frank and Virginia Winters
Frank L. Winters, Jr. was born and raised in the Newton-Ransom area. He graduated from Newton-Ransom High School in 1946. He spent two years in the U.S. Navy and then worked as a Plant and Production Manager, retiring in 1994. Frank spent the next five years at Camp Lackawanna doing maintenance work part-time.
Virginia Bolling Winters was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Central High School in 1949 and entered Moses Taylor Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1952. She worked as a Registered Nurse until retirement in 1994.
Virginia and Frank married in 1953. They had 5 sons and now have 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. They enjoy traveling about the United States in their motor home. They became Custodians at First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit in October, 1999. Both are ordained Elders and Deacons. They presently teach Sunday School. Virginia was recently elected moderator of Presbyterian Women of First Presbyterian Church, Clarks Summit
